THIS IS A TAX INCREASE. Ratifying the ad valorem tax rate of $1.0328 per $100 valuation in Del Valle Independent School District for the current year, a rate that will result in an increase of 19.5% percent in maintenance and operations tax revenue for the District for the current year as compared to the preceding year, which is an additional $20,038,349.
Proposition A proposes a Del Valle ISD property tax rate of $1.0328 per $100 of taxable property value. The 2025–26 tax rate was $0.9489 per $100. The district says this is expected to provide about $13.9 million in new funding, and is intended for teacher and staff pay, maintaining student programs, and staffing the new high school scheduled to open in 2028. For a home valued at the district's example of $233,000, Del Valle ISD estimates the increase at about $9 per year, or 76 cents per month. Homeowners who qualify for the over-65 or disabled-person tax freeze would not see an increase, assuming applicable requirements are met.

A vote FOR would approve the $1.0328 tax rate and the additional M&O tax revenue.

A vote AGAINST would not approve the proposed tax rate and additional tax revenue.
