Whether the City of Sunset Valley Crime Control and Prevention District should be continued for ten (10) years and the crime control and prevention district sales tax should be continued for ten (10) years.
Sunset Valley voters created the Crime Control and Prevention District (CCPD) and its sales tax in 2021 for a five-year term. The District will expire unless voters reauthorize it. 0.125% of the existing 8.125% sales tax rate in Sunset Valley is for the CCPD. This proposition would continue the CCPD and its sales tax for another 10 years. There will be no change to the tax amount.
A vote FOR would continue the Crime Control and Prevention District and its sales tax for 10 years.
A vote AGAINST would allow the Crime Control and Prevention District and its sales tax to expire.
