Shall the City of Pflugerville City Charter be amended to add a new Section 11.05 specifying how the public may participate in City Council meetings, including the
submission of written comments on agenda items and participation by remote communication to the extent permitted by state law?
Proposition M would add requirements for public participation in City Council meetings to the City Charter. People could submit written comments on posted agenda items. Comments submitted according to City procedures would be provided to the City Council and included as part of the meeting minutes. The City would also be required to allow remote public participation to the extent permitted by state law. The Council could also define how people participate remotely, including but not limited to registration requirements, time limits, and other governing measures.
A vote FOR would add these public participation requirements to the Charter.
A vote AGAINST would not add these requirements.
