<H3>Explanation <TX>Proposition G would add requirements for how the City prepares and presents its annual budget, including information that makes it easier to compare year-over-year revenues, spending, staffing, and long-term financial obligations. The City would also be required to provide a five-year financial forecast including projected revenues, expenses, debt, capital spending, and expected effects on property tax and utility rates. For major capital projects, the City would be required to provide public online reporting and a final report when each project is completed. The final reports would be kept for a minimum of five years.
A vote FOR would add these budget and capital-project reporting requirements to the Charter.
A vote AGAINST would leave the current Charter requirements unchanged.
