Shall the City of Pflugerville City Charter be amended to provide that voter petition requirements be completed in compliance with state law and extending, from two (2)
weeks to four (4) weeks, the deadline to file a supplementary petition after a petition is certified insufficient?
Proposition F would make two changes to how petitions are handled. First, signatures for recall petitions would need to comply with the rules set by state law, which is available at https://www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/laws/petitions.shtml
Second, it would also give organizers more time to collect additional signatures when a petition does not have enough valid signatures, increasing the deadline for amending the petition from two weeks to four weeks. This longer deadline would apply to recall petitions and to other petitions, like those asking for a new law or a public vote on a law.
A vote FOR would make these changes.
A vote AGAINST would keep the current Charter provisions.
