The Oconee Soil and Water Conservation District is dedicated to the preservation and protection of the natural resources of Oconee County and all of South Carolina. Their mission is to provide technical and financial assistance to install conservation practices on private and public lands, to promote sustainable agriculture, and to educate the public about the wise use of natural resources.The Board of Commissioners consists of three positions elected during the General Election and two appointed by the SC Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) Board.NOTE: If a candidate's answers are not visible, the candidate may not have completed the survey prior to our publication date. Updated response will be posted as they are received. Voters are welcome to encourage the candidate to share their views.
