I am running because I believe the people of District 64 deserve effective, accountable, and responsive representation. I want to bring a collaborative, people-first approach to state government that strengthens families and communities, supports responsible economic growth, and ensures taxpayer dollars are used wisely and transparently.

I also want to help move the Legislature beyond partisan division and focus on issues that directly affect the lives of everyday South Carolinians. My approach will be to listen, work across differences, find common ground, and pursue practical solutions that produce meaningful results.

Healthcare: I will advocate for greater access to quality, affordable healthcare, particularly in rural and underserved communities. Affordability: Rising housing, utility, childcare, and food costs are placing significant pressure on working families. I will support policies that expand affordable and workforce housing, increase access to down-payment assistance, and protect rural communities from unnecessary increases in utility costs associated with large industrial developments. Public Education: As a veteran educator, I understand the importance of strong public schools. I will advocate for equitable and adequate school funding, competitive teacher salaries, stronger support for educators, and the resources students need to succeed.
I bring 27 years of professional leadership, lifelong roots in Clarendon County, and a strong record of community service.

Throughout my career in education, I have served in multiple roles that required leadership, problem-solving, collaboration, communication, and advocacy. I have worked directly with students and families from diverse backgrounds and have gained firsthand knowledge of the challenges many families face.

I believe effective public service begins with listening to people, understanding their concerns, building relationships, and following through. My professional and community experiences have prepared me to bring those qualities to the South Carolina House of Representatives.
