FAMILY COURT JUDGE - UNEXPIRED - DISTRICT 06

Family Court Judges hear cases involving family-related legal matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, equitable distribution, parenting plans, and domestic matters. Family Court Judges make decisions and issue orders based on the law and evidence presented in court. Judges are elected nonpartisan and serve eight-year terms. Candidates must be West Virginia residents, members in good standing of the West Virginia State Bar, and have been admitted to practice law in West Virginia for at least five years. They must reside in the family court circuit they serve.
