The County Clerk maintains important county records and performs a variety of administrative and election-related duties. Responsibilities include maintaining county commission records, recording certain documents, administering elections, maintaining voter records, and handling other records and duties assigned by state law. The County Clerk also serves as clerk to the County Commission. County Clerks serve six-year terms. Candidates must meet the qualifications for county office and reside in the county.
