Campaign Message To protect Village infrastructure and ensure all possible means of funding are secured to aid the Village in moving in a positive direction. to secure our communities future.
As a Council person I ensured the Village’s infrastructure decisions, road repairs/reconstructs met resident and neighborhood needs while being cost effective. I bring strong fiscal accountability to make sure that taxpayer money is prioritized to have the maximum impact on infrastructure and recreation projects. I believe local government should be accessible and responsive. I am dedicated to building trust and being a council member that is known for taking the time to talk, answer questions, address concerns and keep communication open. I strive to make a difference in this community by being present and available.
To continue to work directly with the DPW and contracted engineering firms to evaluate the Road Asset Management Plan by scheduling cost-effective preventative maintenance (like crack sealing and cold patching) before roads degrade to the point of needing expensive total reconstruction. Also continuing to ensure gravel roads are properly graded after seasonal frosts break, while paved roads are kept clear of hazardous potholes. Continue to Maximize Act 51 Funds from the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) which serve as the lifeblood of the village's major and local street funds and see that they are allocated strictly to compliant roadway expenses.
Accountability and accessibility are pillars of good Village representation, and they are values that I practice daily through ongoing, direct communication with our residents either by email, phone conversations or running into someone at a store. I will encourage the use of social media and other media outlets to get the word out about Village happenings like meetings and public street improvements, road closures for community events and continue to be available after council meetings for discussions. I will listen to ideas and concerns and will take them to the Council for action if need be. I am committed to this community and its future success.
As a Goodrich Council member, I take my duty to our residents very seriously. I will ensure our tax dollars are spent wisely on community needs rather than wants, with a strong focus on vital infrastructure, safe sidewalks, and secure public spaces. My decisions are driven by decency, respect, and a deep pride in our Village. I don’t stop at "No." If told "you can’t do that," my response is always, "then tell me how I can." I will always be accessible to you. My commitment to listening to your ideas and monitoring monthly expenses won't stop after the election—it will continue every single day I serve to build a community we can all be proud of.

Campaign Message To protect what makes our Village special, while taking clear, common-sense action to secure our communities future.
I bring a strong background in local government and community advocacy to the table, which will allow me to immediately support the Village’s strategic goals. My experience in budget analysis and cross-departmental collaboration ensures I can help make fiscally responsible decisions for our residents. As a longtime resident (27+ years), I have a deep understanding of our infrastructure needs, zoning challenges and recreational needs and I am committed to transparent communication.
I will prioritize fiscally responsible oversight to ensure our tax dollars are maximized I will actively seek external grant funding to offset our infrastructure costs and our recreation improvements. My focus will be on smart infrastructure investment, ensuring our roads and public spaces keep with the pace of a growing community while preserving the unique character of our Village. I aim to improve Council transparency and resident engagement by supporting meeting attendance, conversation around town and by implementing an improved social media presence to ensure all voices are heard.
As a fellow Goodrich taxpayer, I expect the same transparency and responsibility that you do. I will represent and communicate with you through accessible outreach, informed decision making and fiscal and project transparency. I will use a multi-channel communication strategy—including social media and the return of a printed newsletter. I am always available via email, at council meetings, or for a casual chat around the village. I promise to listen first and gather facts to carefully weigh the long-term consequences of every major vote before making a decision. I will provide honest, open communication regarding our budget, funding options, and key community efforts, from road improvements to the long-term management of our historic Dam.
I want our tax dollars to be spent wisely and I want to see the tangible benefit in our community—infrastructure, public spaces, and quality of life. I do not make decisions in a vacuum; my goal is to make decisions that ensure Goodrich remains a wonderful community. I will remain accessible to all residents and our village staff, by sticking with the open-door policy I value. My desire to serve does not stop at the end of the campaign trail. In fact, it is where I find my inspiration to do good things for the people I serve. I remain dedicated to serving openly, honestly and effectively, not just when there is an election on the horizon, but every day in between.
