Occupation Running for Office
President of Operations for Rocky Brands (RCKY), retired. B.A and MBA.
I worked 30 years for Rocky Brands (RCKY) and retired as President of Operations. I have worked with and overseen many teams during strategic and tactical changes. I was promoted to and retired as an officer of the company because I can organize, inspire, show up and make hard decisions, exactly what we need our County Judge to do over our County Budget and your hard earned tax dollars!
When someone is locked up the responsibility for their wellbeing is passed along to the entity that has locked them up. While I will need to do more research specifically on mental health, my statement stands that once locked up, the entity locking them up becomes responsible.
I would implement a sign in sheet process similar to other government entities in Parker County. I think the current process of raising you hand and hoping the judge sees you is inadequate, and quite frankly the only government I have witnessed that seems backwards and unorganized.
Once elected I will dig into the budget line by line to eliminate waste, and work to “reset” the elected officials pay, which is out of whack and has increased at twice the rate of inflation since my opponent took office. Once that is complete I will look at what savings that can bring and then work with the community to invest in those areas most in need.
Today the elections in Parker County are free and fair and I will continue to work with the community to ensure that continues.
We have not been strategic in our future planning in the past. While our growth has been strong, we could have planned better and not been as reactive on issues like increases in traffic and our shortage of water in parts of the county. I will implement a strategic plan, with community input on these and other issues. I will also bring more experience to the court and be more prepared than I have seen with our current Judge.
