I am running for Soil & Water Conservation because I believe taking care of our land & water is an investment in the future of our community. The decisions we make today affect our farms, gardens, homes, businesses, streams, & the generations that come after us. I want to be someone who listens to the people who live & work on the land & helps connect them with practical resources, education, and conservation solutions. I believe conservation should be something we can put into practice—not just something we talk about. I care deeply about preserving the rural character of our county while encouraging responsible land use & protecting the natural resources that make our community special. I am running because I want to serve my community,
1. Protecting water: I would support efforts to reduce erosion, runoff, sediment, and pollution while promoting simple ways to protect streams, wells, ponds, and other water resources. 2. Healthy soil: I would promote education and resources for improving soil, maintaining vegetation, managing runoff, using cover crops where appropriate, and preventing erosion. 3. Education & outreach: I would make conservation resources easier to understand and access for farmers, homeowners, gardeners, students, and landowners. I will listen to local concerns and connect people with practical conservation programs and solutions.
I believe people should vote for me because I am committed to serving our community, listening to our residents, & putting practical conservation to work. I don't believe conservation should be about telling people what they cannot do. I believe it should be about helping people find better ways to manage the land, protect our water, & solve problems before they become bigger & more expensive. I will bring a common-sense, hands-on approach to the position. I care about our farmers, landowners, our families, and preserving the natural resources that make our county home. I am asking for your vote because I am willing to listen, willing to work, and committed to leaving our soil, water, and community stronger for the next generation.
