I am running to continue serving the people of House District 49 and ensuring our community has a strong, effective voice in Columbia. Public service is a responsibility, not a title. My commitment to service was shaped by my family, my community, and my experiences as an educator, funeral director, small business owner, and legislator. I understand the challenges working families face because I work with people every day. I am running because there is still work to do on affordability, education, infrastructure, health care, economic opportunity, and equal representation. I want to continue showing up, speaking up, and delivering results for the people I represent. My work is measured by impact, not headlines.
My top three priorities are **affordability, public education, and community investment and representation.** I will continue fighting to raise South Carolina’s minimum wage and address the rising costs of housing, food, utilities, and transportation. As an educator, I will fight for strong and equitable public schools, support teachers and students, and invest in our colleges, universities, and HBCUs. I will also fight for roads, water and sewer infrastructure, health care, public safety, parks, and economic development. Finally, I will make sure House District 49 has a meaningful voice when decisions are made about our communities and our future.
Voters should look at my record, experience, and commitment to the people I serve. I have spent years serving my community at the local and state levels, and I understand how decisions in Columbia affect families at home. As an educator, funeral director, small business owner, and legislator, I bring a perspective grounded in real life experiences. I show up, listen, ask difficult questions, speak up when communities are overlooked, and fight to bring resources home. I do not believe public office is about titles or headlines. It is about responsibility and results. There is still work to do, and I am prepared to continue doing it. My work is measured by impact, not headlines.
