I bring nearly four years of City Council experience, more than a decade of service in Farmington, and the perspective of a farm kid turned small-business owner. That experience gives me the working knowledge of where we are today: the budget, infrastructure and public-safety needs, economic development work, and the 2050 Comprehensive Plan shaping our future. I understand the decisions ahead, the work we are already doing, and the path needed to shape Farmington's growth. My approach is to study the facts, weigh resident feedback with financial and community needs, support our professional staff and clearly communicate the how and why behind our decisions. I am prepared to serve from day one with our whole community in focus.
My top priorities are: 1. Support our economic development team in diversifying Farmington's tax base. 2. Use data to prioritize capital improvement needs and guide smart, timely infrastructure investment. 3. Help shape the 2050 Comprehensive Plan: Farmington's long-range guide for land use, zoning, growth and infrastructure.
Together, these efforts can ease tax pressure on homeowners, protect core services and prepare us for changing needs and opportunities.
Transparency, accountability and ethical conduct are non-negotiable. Recent development discussions reinforced that making information available is not enough. My commitment is to earlier communication, clearer explanation of the facts and reasoning behind decisions, and accountability even in disagreement. Leaders should own and explain their decisions, while criticism should remain grounded in the facts, process and public record.
Engagement has to go beyond social media. I will continue direct conversations, public meetings, surveys, community events, update videos and mayoral office hours so residents have multiple ways to participate. I want information shared early enough for meaningful input before decisions are made, and resident concerns weighed alongside the facts, expert advice and needs of the community as a whole.
Public safety is a core city responsibility. I will continue investing in staffing, training, equipment and facilities that keep pace with Farmington’s growth, while pursuing grants and outside funding to reduce local costs. I also value community-focused policing built on professionalism, impartial enforcement, visibility and strong relationships with residents. Our police and fire personnel need the resources and tools to serve safely, effectively and with trust.
I’ve spent years leading teams, managing budgets, solving problems, and making difficult decisions in my professional career. But just as important, I’ve made a point to stay involved here in Farmington. I attend Council meetings, serve in the community, ask questions, and pay attention to what residents are saying. I’m not running because I think I have all the answers. I’m running because I’m willing to do the work, ask the tough questions, and be accountable for the decisions I make. Farmington is facing some big decisions in the next few years, and I believe my experience, common sense, and commitment to this community would serve our residents well.
My top priorities are keeping property taxes in check, bringing more businesses and jobs to Farmington, and making sure residents have a real voice in major decisions. We need to take a hard look at spending before asking taxpayers for more, grow our commercial tax base, and be more open about decisions that affect our community. With major development ahead, including the Technology Park, residents deserve transparency, accountability, and a clear benefit to Farmington.
I believe residents should know what their city is doing and why. I will ask questions, explain my votes, and make information available whenever possible. I also think accountability means being willing to listen when people disagree with you and being able to stand behind the decisions you make. I won’t always have the answer everyone wants, but I will be straightforward about how I got there.
It starts with being available and willing to listen. I plan to continue showing up at community events, talking with residents, and making it easy for people to reach me with questions or concerns. For major issues, I want residents involved early enough that their feedback can actually matter, not after decisions are nearly final. People may not always agree with the outcome, but they should know they were heard and understand how we got there.
Public safety is one of the city’s most basic responsibilities. I will make sure our police and first responders have the staffing, training, and resources they need to do their jobs well. I also want to keep the strong relationship between our officers and the community. That means being visible, building trust, listening to residents, and using new public safety tools when there is a clear need and appropriate safeguards are in place.

I believe my experience, leadership skills, and commitment to Farmington make me well prepared to serve as Mayor. I have been Acting Mayor before, so I understand the responsibilities and expectations that come with leading our city and I am ready to hit the ground running.
As a local business owner, I have years of experience working with employees, contractors and homeowners. This experience has strengthened my ability to communicate, solve problems, and make decisions to get the job done.
Most importantly, I will be there for our community. I believe residents deserve a mayor who will listen to their concerns, respect their voices, and work together with them to build a stronger future for Farmington.
1. Improve communication and transparency: Ensure the Mayor and City Council receive timely, complete updates on critical matters, including the data center contract and any related litigation.
2. Stay informed on city projects: Provide regular updates on road construction, developments, and other major projects.
3. Establish shared goals: Work together as a full Council and administration to set clear priorities and goals for Farmington’s future.
I will lead by example and encourage the entire Council and city administration to operate with transparency, accountability, and integrity. I will share information whenever legally permitted, while respecting data privacy and confidentiality requirements. I will hold myself accountable, admit when I am wrong, and expect the same from others. I will never use the office of Mayor for personal gain, profit, or self-promotion.
I will improve the process for reviewing and approving Council agenda items so both Council and residents have more opportunities to review, ask questions, and provide input before decisions are made. I will encourage public comments on agenda items as they are discussed, not just during citizen comments. I am approachable and available, and I will be happy to meet with residents to discuss their concerns. Every voice deserves to be heard.
I believe Farmington’s police, fire, and other first responders do an excellent job protecting our community. I will continue to support them and provide the resources needed to do their jobs effectively. I also support education and safety initiatives addressing concerns involving e-bikes, scooters, and pedestrians crossing busy highways, along with appropriate consequences when safety rules are not followed. Every resident deserves to feel safe in our community.
