I bring more than 24 years of living, raising my family, volunteering, and serving in Champlin. My experience includes more than eight years on the Environmental Resources Commission, service on the Anoka-Hennepin School Foundation Board, Chamber of Commerce involvement, and completion of the Police Citizens Academy. I also bring a strong business and accounting background. I understand our community and believe leadership requires more than listening, and transparency—it requires engaging residents, analyzing the facts, asking difficult questions, and making informed decisions. I will bring an independent, practical, community-focused approach to the City Council.
My top three priorities are public safety, responsible growth and infrastructure, and community engagement with taxpayer accountability. Residents deserve safe neighborhoods and streets, well-maintained roads and infrastructure, and thoughtful planning as Champlin grows.
I will also carefully review spending, seek outside funding when possible, and encourage residents to participate before important decisions are made.
I will be accessible and proactive in reaching residents—not only when major issues arise. I support town halls, neighborhood conversations, community events, and opportunities for residents of different ages, cultures, and backgrounds to participate.
I will listen to different viewpoints, ask questions, examine the facts, and communicate openly. Community engagement starts when residents and city leaders talk to one another and work together.
Transparency starts with making information understandable and accessible before decisions are made. I will encourage public discussions on major issues, ask questions about costs and impacts, and support clear communication about how taxpayer dollars are used.
