I have a diverse experience that allows me to make decisions. I have travelled, lived, and done quite a few different things from my time living outside the US, to the time I was in the US Army. That all builds into a view that keeps things simple. I want an affordable future for all residents!
Housing, Affordability, and Accessibility. Building and maintaining housing ensures residents don’t get priced out of the community and ensures that future generations can enjoy Victoria. Don’t spend money on things Victoria doesn’t need, such as ALPRs (Automatic License Plate Readers) Lastly, Accessibility. Ensuring that small businesses have the opportunity to start here, people can go and enjoy parks, and people can visit the city.
Engaging with the community is important, and this would be done with community outreach. Attending local events, open office hours, and conversations with residents. I would highly encourage members to come and attend city council meetings, or view them online to be in touch with what is going on in Victoria!
Transparency is highly important in every Government position, from local to federal positions. There will be no secret votes for expanding surveillance, no data centers, and no pushing people out of Victoria. I will keep an open communication channel for residents beyond the mandatory meetings to ensure that residents can express their concerns. I will work to ensure that there is clarity in what happens in Victoria!

I bring a fresh set of eyes and new ideas to Victoria City Council, because our best days are still ahead of us. What I bring isn't years in political office, it's years of living, working, and leading right here in Victoria, and that's exactly what this moment calls for. I've been preparing for this long before deciding to run: attending City Council and Planning Commission meetings, writing directly to both about growth and parking, and studying Minnesota's legislature. This is a civic duty to me, something I feel I must do. I'm also the only woman currently running for Council, alongside our female mayor. As a corporate executive and business owner with 30+ years of leadership experience, I lead with real, practical answers.
My priorities are the three P's, and good leadership runs through all of them: Parking, Property tax management, and Protecting the beauty and small-town charm that makes Victoria a wonderful place to call home. Good leaders solve real problems, so I'll push a funded parking plan for our growing downtown. Good leaders scrutinize the budget line by line, so residents see where their tax dollars go. Good leaders plan ahead, so growth never comes at the cost of our parks, trails, and open land.
As a resident, business owner, and the only woman running for City Council, I bring a perspective this Council needs. My business success has come from truly knowing people, who they are, what they need, and how to reach them, exactly the skill I bring to representing Victoria. Our community is strongest when everyone feels heard, not just reached by an email or post. I show up at community events and stay present, building relationships that last beyond election season.
Real accountability starts with communication that actually resonates, not just checking a box. City officials say they communicate, then wonder why residents don't read the emails or posts. I ask why, and I make sure the message reaches people, in person, wherever they are. I won't assume everyone speaks government process, so I'll explain decisions in plain language, not jargon, so every resident can follow along and understand why something can or can't be done. That is real accountability.
