My leadership style, experience and connection to the City of St. Cloud make me the best representative for Ward 3 City Council.
Having served as your Ward 3 Councilmember for nearly two years, I have direct experience with city budgets, zoning, housing, economic development, infrastructure, public safety, ordinances, and resolutions. I have always voted, "yes" on issues involving public safety, fire, economic development, housing, and infrastructure, and I'm all about making St. Cloud, the City I have lived in for 21 years, a welcoming place for everyone.
My qualifications extend beyond City Hall. I have experience as a nonprofit housing leader, small-business owner, educator, and community organizer. I also serve on several boards.
My priorities have consistently emerged in discussions with potential voters. Priority 1: Safety. When residents feel safe, they can live, work, and raise their families with confidence.
Priority 2: Infrastructure. St. Cloud has many aging roads, homes, and buildings. I am committed to developing a practical, long-term plan to proactively improve infrastructure.
Priority 3: I will partner with the Economic Development Authority to help existing businesses thrive and expand and attract new ones.
In addition to spending time with neighbors from all different backgrounds at city council meetings, I will continue to attend neighborhood events like National Night Out and cultural events held at Lake George. In addition, I will respond to calls and emails day and night, and then actively incorporate residents' concerns into council discussions.
I believe transparency and accountability go hand in hand to help build trust. It all begins with providing access to meetings, proactive inquiry, and ensuring residents understand our decision-making processes.
I stay connected with residents by listening to their concerns, answering questions, and explaining why big decisions are made. Direct conversations are critical!
When it comes to taxpayer dollars, residents have a right to know exactly where their money is going and why.
