I have experience as the incumbent Ward 4 City Council member in Robbinsdale. The sitting Council and Mayor appointed me in February, and I’m now running to keep the seat. I am the son of Colombian immigrants. I am DFL-supported, and I have years of experience working in government and policy. My Master’s in Public Policy is a plus, but I also have a plethora of nonprofit and public sector work experience, which sets me apart — research on Minnesota’s criminal justice system, supporting families with basic needs applications, and legislative work for a food bank, just to name a few experiences. While I’m only 25 years old, I bring a fresh, diverse perspective to our Council. Lastly, my views are public and clearly stated on my website.
If elected, I'll build on what I've already started. On affordability, I'll keep pushing for outside funding, like the $3.325 million we secured in state bonding for our public works facility, so water system fixes don't land on residents' utility bills. On public safety, I'll keep demanding answers on Flock cameras before expanding their use, protecting both safety and privacy. On human rights, I'll keep defending the Separation Ordinance, protecting immigrant families like mine.
As a young Latino man, I bring a perspective often missing from local government. At 25, I understand the concerns of young adults trying to build a life here, from housing costs to job security. My work in politics has meant sitting across the table from people with very different views on governance, immigration, and public safety, and finding common ground. That experience taught me how to listen first. I will continue to listen, especially to those who often feel left out of local government
Keeping residents informed about what's happening locally is vital for transparency. I have worked with city staff to ensure this keeps happening. Whether it's posting on social media or reaching out directly to constituents, ask me questions; I welcome them. As for accountability, we are elected to serve first and foremost. I will continue to do that to the best of my ability and serve as a bridge between the community and government.
I’m the best candidate for Ward 4 because I bring independent thinking, real-world leadership experience, and a genuine commitment to listening to residents. As a Director of Strategic Labor Management, I make data-driven decisions, build consensus among diverse groups, and manage complex challenges every day. I’m not tied to a political party or special interest group. I believe local government works best when it focuses on practical solutions, fiscal responsibility, public safety, strong infrastructure, and a high quality of life for all residents. Most importantly, I will be accessible, transparent, and focused on representing Ward 4, not a political agenda.
My top three priorities are supporting small businesses, safe neighborhoods, and fiscal responsibility because they are the foundation of a strong community. Small businesses create jobs and strengthen our local economy. Safe neighborhoods help families thrive and ensure residents feel secure. Fiscal responsibility means spending taxpayer dollars wisely while maintaining essential services and infrastructure. Together, these priorities help build a prosperous, safe, and sustainable Robbinsdale.
I will engage with and represent all members of our community by being visible, accessible, and committed to listening. I will attend neighborhood meetings, community events, and local business gatherings, while maintaining open communication through email, social media, and face-to-face conversations. Every voice matters, regardless of their background, perspective, or circumstances. My role is to listen, learn, and make informed decisions that reflect the needs of all Ward 4 residents.
I will promote transparency and accountability by being accessible, communicating regularly with residents, and explaining the reasoning behind my decisions. I will encourage open dialogue, support public access to city information, and ensure taxpayer dollars are spent responsibly. I will regularly volunteer at local businesses to support our economy and stay connected to residents. Residents deserve a council member who listens, follows through on commitments, and puts the community first.
