I have a strong resume leading teams to get results, but more than that, I would like to be your advocate. Together we can address issues that are important to you: Reducing Taxes; Responsible Use of City Funds; Developing Business; Building Business/Community Synergy; Public Safety. If you look at my campaign tagline, "Seek to Understand Before Making Myself Understood" it is not an original thought, but one that is central to being an effective City Council representative. Constituents in Ward 1 and 2 deserve a voice, an active advocate, someone who will take your ideas and voice them within the council chambers.
1. Reducing Taxes and Using City Funds Responsibly. Our residents work hard for their money, and we have a duty to be responsible and accountable with the resources entrusted to us.
2. Public Safety: Emergency Services that are trained, equipped, and ready to respond to community needs.
3. Developing a Diverse Business Climate. A Pro-Business platform because strong businesses provide economic stability and growth, creating a strong, enduring city.

These principles guide me and encourage me to listen, try to understand where the community stands, and build synergistic, win/win solutions for Red Wing.
Red Wing's charter demands openness, transparency, and accountability. I regularly access meetings/agendas and I am able to see upcoming issues, and/or listen/view past meetings. I encourage the public to get involved; too often I see a one-sided public response that isn't necessarily representative of the community at large. Red Wing residents need to stay engaged to get the outcomes they desire, and I encourage that engagement.
