I believe I am the best candidate because I combine experience, results, and a genuine love for this community. Over the past eight years on the City Council, I have helped guide important investments in our city's future while maintaining a strong commitment to responsible budgeting and long-term planning. Just as important, I enjoy connecting with residents, listening to different perspectives, and finding practical solutions to challenges. Chaska has been home to my family for 18 years, and my wife and I are proud to be raising our two boys here. Serving this community is a privilege, and I would be honored to continue that service.
My top three priorities are continuing the progress Chaska has made over the past eight years. First, expanding the Southwest Chaska Industrial Park to create jobs, attract investment, and strengthen our tax base. Second, advancing a sustainable plan to reinvest in the Chaska Community Center so it can continue serving residents for generations. Third, maintaining Chaska's strong financial position through responsible budgeting and long-term planning.
I believe the best way to represent all members of our community is to be present, accessible, and willing to listen. Some of the most valuable conversations happen outside City Hall, at community events, youth sports, local businesses, and neighborhood gatherings. Every resident deserves to feel heard and respected. My commitment is to continue building relationships, seeking different perspectives, and making thoughtful decisions that serve the entire Chaska community.
I believe transparency starts with communication. Residents deserve to understand how and why decisions are made, and elected officials should be accessible and willing to answer questions. Accountability means listening to feedback, explaining decisions, and being honest about both successes and challenges. Building trust requires consistent communication, openness, and a commitment to serving the community with integrity and respect.
