experience Director of Third Chance Housing, serves on many community services boards. Immediate Past President of Danville-Riverview Rotary, Wednesday Club Board, DPCS Board, former Assistant Director of Danville Church Based Tutorial Program,
Using my voice for shared resources. Making sure that as we continue to grow that the burden is not of the growth is not placed on seniors who have built our community, families who are trying to establish a foothold and youth who are branching out into adulthood. An affordable economy made possible by all of the industrial opportunities coming here and the revenue from big businesses, such as the Casino. Affordable and Quality housing, Public Safety, Quality infrastructure in our neighborhoods, youth empowerment. A woman's voice on council.
I am the best candidate because I have been serving this community for many years before I even considered being a councilwoman. I have past lived experiences that offer me an insight on solutions as well as my present day life which is dedicated to my family and serving on boards here. I am also very familiar with Danville because I was born here and have lived here all of my life, with the exception of six months. I have knowledge of the need of our citizens because I help to serve them. I still have a strong relationship with our community because I am out in our city helping, leading and serving. I understand partnership, collaboration. I understand policy, strategic planning, budget making and TEAMWORK.
I love the way we come together as a community to support those who need it most. It is almost as though our citizens are neighbors. Also, the growth. Not just now, but over and over. When tragedy or hard times strike, Danville manages to overcome and not be crushed beyond repair. We have a tenacity and strength here to bounce back.

experience Pastor, community leader, licensed Virginia real estate agent, and radio host. My background includes manufacturing, security, and ministry, with a focus on serving families and strengthening neighborhoods.
My priorities are affordable housing, utility affordability, youth opportunities, and safe neighborhoods. I will work to ensure Danville’s growth benefits current residents while protecting taxpayer dollars and supporting local businesses.
As a pastor, real estate professional, and lifelong Danville resident, I bring a heart for service and firsthand understanding of our community. I will listen, work with others, and advocate for practical solutions that strengthen families and neighborhoods.
I love Danville’s people, community spirit, and resilience. Growing up in Cardinal Village taught me the value of neighbors caring for one another. Those roots inspire my commitment to helping our city thrive.

education B.S. in Biology, Virginia Tech; M.D., Medical College of Virginia; postgraduate medical training at the Medical College of Virginia, Medical College of Georgia, and East Tennessee State University in internal medicine, family practice, and cardiology
experience Danville City Council since 2008, including Vice Mayor; cardiologist in Danville for more than 30 years; founder of Cardiology Consultants of Danville; and eight years of service on the Virginia Board of Medicine. Current member of the VA Medical Society.
Danville’s greatest challenge is making sure our unprecedented growth improves the lives of the people who already call our city home.

Housing is a major concern. We need more homes at different price points, stronger renter protections, and a comprehensive approach to homelessness. We must also keep Danville affordable, ensure our infrastructure and public safety services keep pace with growth, and connect local residents to new jobs through education and workforce training.

Our challenge is no longer simply creating growth; it is managing that growth responsibly so everyone has an opportunity to benefit.
My experience and record of service have prepared me to continue serving Danville during this important time. I have served on City Council since 2008, including as Vice Mayor, and helped guide Danville from the loss of major industries to a period of tremendous investment and opportunity.

Before that, I spent more than three decades caring for this community as a cardiologist. I know Danville, our people, how far we have come, and the challenges ahead. My focus is managing growth responsibly, keeping Danville affordable, addressing housing and homelessness, strengthening public safety and infrastructure, and ensuring our progress benefits everyone.
What I like most about Danville is our people and our sense of community. I have spent more than three decades here as a physician, raised my family here, and had the privilege of serving this city on Council.

I have seen Danville endure some very difficult times, but I have also seen neighbors come together and refuse to give up on our community.

Today, we are experiencing opportunities that once seemed unimaginable. I am proud of our progress, but what makes Danville special has not changed: people know their neighbors, care about one another, and share a genuine pride in the place we call home.
