Healthcare- no person should have to decide between buying groceries and potentially lifesaving medication.
Education- i still have children in school, and I would like to see them gain more opportunities through education than I had. Teachers should be making significantly more than they are, nor should they have to spend their own money on supplies for their classrooms.
Environmental Protections- I am in support of furthering research into renewable energy. Our current reliability on fossil fuels is not sustainable. I oppose A.I datacenters as right now we don't fully understand the effects they are having on our environment, and within our communities.
Support small businesses with tax breaks and grants for new startup businesses. We can support local farmers by expanding trade locally. Make sure that their produce is introduced into local grocery stores, local restaurants, and our schools.
I support any and all DEI practices. Companies that do not adhere to these policies should face heavy fines. Individuals that consistently repeat offenses should face some incarceration. We should not tolerate any racism.
Yes, I support equal rights. Every person living in Minnesota, and the U.S. as a whole deserves to live their lives freely. Regardless of gender, race, identity, or sexual orientation.
I know we already have some protection, so I would first continue to support those and make sure that those policies are not repealed. Secondly if we can expand on protections for clean air and water, I would support any and all legislation. Though i'm not sure what those would look like.
We can start by expanding safe gun laws. Increasing the depth of background checks when purchasing a firearm. Passing safe storage and handling laws, and red flag laws. Passing legislation requiring a waiting period after a purchase of a firearm. We can also promote programs that expand on training before being allowed to purchase.
We can pass our own state laws that prohibit companies and business from donating to campaigns. I support any policy that prohibits super pacs.
