My top three priorities are affordability, stronger communities, and protecting Minnesota’s future. First, I will address the cost of living by expanding housing stability, supporting livable wages, and lowering barriers for working families. Second, I will invest in youth, workforce pathways, small businesses, disability services, and community-based solutions that help people thrive. Third, I will protect our water, infrastructure, and environment while preparing communities for emerging challenges. District 39 deserves a senator who connects these issues instead of treating them separately and who brings residents, cities, businesses, and community organizations into the work.
Minnesota cannot control inflation alone, but we can reduce the costs families feel every day. I will support affordable housing, child care, transportation, food access, and workforce development while helping small businesses grow and create local jobs. I also support expanding apprenticeships and career pathways so Minnesotans can move into stable, well-paying work. A strong economy should be measured by whether families and local businesses can afford to thrive.
I support legislation that addresses disparities where they occur: housing, education, health, employment, business ownership, environmental exposure, and access to government services. That includes enforcing civil-rights protections, expanding workforce and apprenticeship pathways, improving access to capital and contracting, and investing in communities that have experienced persistent disparities. We should use measurable outcomes to determine whether policies are actually closing gaps.
I support an Equal Rights Amendment that protects all Minnesotans, regardless of citizenship status. Equal protection under our state constitution should belong to every person in Minnesota. I support language that protects all people from discrimination, including on the basis of race, national origin, disability, sex, pregnancy, gender, and sexual orientation. Fundamental equality should not depend on immigration or citizenship status.
I will champion a comprehensive approach to water security: protecting drinking water from PFAS, nitrates, and emerging contaminants; modernizing aging infrastructure; strengthening groundwater monitoring; and holding major users and polluters accountable. We must also prepare our water systems for climate change, growing energy demands, and cyber threats. Minnesota should lead by protecting water as essential infrastructure, public health, and security.
I support a public-safety approach that prevents harm before it happens. That means keeping firearms away from people who pose a serious risk, strengthening protections for victims, investing in violence prevention, and expanding mental-health and community response teams. Law enforcement should focus on situations requiring police intervention, while trained professionals respond to behavioral-health crises. Safety requires prevention, accountability, and trust.
Campaign finance reform starts with my own campaign. As a Green Party candidate, I pledged not to accept PAC, lobbyist, or corporate money. I support legislation empowering the Secretary of State to help curb the influence of big money in elections, alongside stronger public financing and protections against outside spending overwhelming local voices. Elections should be shaped by voters, ideas, and communities—not by whoever can spend the most.
