I have had a number of years experience on the CP Board of Education and have served as treasurer for several years. I also started and ran my own business for 40 years.
For the past few years Comstock Park has had a person overseeing curriculum and monitoring student performance. Building administrators are connected with student achievement goals.
Funding will always be a concern. A lot of money was given to schools during covid and cut back later. Many schools have had budgeting issues due to this fluctuation. Fortunately, Comstock Park is doing OK budget wise at this time, but that can change. We need to prepare students for post graduation whether that is entering the work force or going to college or trade schooling.
I always try to budget conservatively, both in the present and looking toward the future. Funding from the state and federal governments can fluctuate greatly from year to year.
