I bring 25+ years of small-business experience, financial management, and community leadership. As a longtime Fort Bend County resident, I understand how property values and taxes affect families, seniors, homeowners, and businesses. My civic training includes the Sugar Land Police and Fire Citizens Academies, Fort Bend DA Citizens Academy, FBISD Board Leadership Academy, and Rotary leadership.
I am seeking this position to give Fort Bend County taxpayers a strong, independent voice. As a small-business owner and longtime resident, I understand the impact of property values and taxes on families, seniors, homeowners, and businesses. I want to promote fairness, accuracy, transparency, and accountability in the appraisal process.
I will look for a Chief Appraiser with strong leadership, integrity, professional expertise, and a commitment to fairness and accuracy. The Chief Appraiser should be independent, transparent, accountable, knowledgeable about appraisal laws and technology, and responsive to taxpayers while maintaining a fair and consistent appraisal process.
I have called Fort Bend County home for over 20 years, this is where my children were born and raised. I am a geoscientist, beekeeper, and owner of two Fort Bend businesses. I bring a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and an independent voice. I will work to ensure our CAD follows the law, treats property owners fairly, and operates transparently.
I’m running because I don’t believe we should simply accept the way things have always been done. Property owners deserve someone willing to challenge the status quo, dig into the details, and speak up when something doesn’t look right. I’m willing to do the work, ask the questions, and hold the line when it matters.
I would look for a chief appraiser who is competent, ethical, transparent, and willing to be accountable. They should have a strong understanding of Texas appraisal law, lead a professional and efficient organization, and treat property owners with fairness and respect. Most importantly, I want someone who follows the law, not politics, and is willing to stand behind their decisions.
