Motivation: Why are you running for this position?
Managing growth: How can our county manage growth in a way that maintains local character, conserves natural resources, protects our environment, and makes good use of taxpayer funds?
Priorities: Which county services do you think need the most attention or reform? What are people asking you to address if elected?
I have dedicated my entire adult life to public service. I have devoted my career to protecting and serving this community-first through 32 years in law enforcement, and now two terms as County Judge. It remains an honor to lead with honesty, integrity, and equal justice for everyone. I am running for re-election to ensure our county remains a safe, secure, and prosperous place to raise a family.
By being smart and deliberate so we don't lose what makes our county special. We can protect our county's heritage, it's environment and our resident's hard-earned tax dollars by working with local governments and economic development corporations (EDC's). By working together, we can attract the right kind of smart business growth while making sure we actively protect our vital water supplies, natural spaces, and historic roots.
I think the county service that needs the most attention is our county jail. Facility constraints create a financial and operational strain on county resources.
Across the county, road and bridge infrastructure, tax affordability and county jail capacity/reform are frequently brought up. Addressing these areas takes balancing essential public safety and infrastructure needs with responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars. People want safe, well-maintained roads; a secure justice system that keeps our community safe; and a local government that lives within its means.

I am running for Gonzales County Judge because our community deserves transparent governance, fiscal responsibility, and strong administrative leadership that serves every resident across our county. As a lifelong native of Gonzales, my deep roots here drive my commitment to ensuring our local government operates efficiently, respects taxpayers, and plans proactively for our future.
I am strictly opposed to data centers—they drain our local water tables, strain our power grid, and industrialize countryside without offering real benefits to local residents.
Smart growth means:
No Data Centers: Firmly opposing resource-heavy industrial developments to safeguard land values and groundwater.
Conserving Heritage & Assets: Utilizing grants to repair existing infrastructure rather than overbuilding.
Fiscal Discipline: Prioritizing essential county services so growth never burdens our taxpayers.
Local economic development and fiscal management.
Connecting economic recruitment directly to local housing is essential. Bringing in new business opportunities requires sustainable housing so workers can live here locally. When commuters drive in from outside of Gonzales County, their dollars leave with them—depriving Gonzales County of local property taxes and consumer spending.
Sustainable housing ensures workers settle here, pay local property taxes, and spend their hard-earned dollars right in our community to boost our local economy.
