City Council MemberTogether with the mayor, Council members adopt the city budget, set the property tax rate, pass local laws, and make decisions about city services and policies. Some localities may use the term Alderman/Alderwoman and term lengths are based on the local or city ordinance.
I own my own business that I built from the ground up that I have been running successfully for 6 years. I have also been the Vice President of the Manor Chamber of Commerce for going on 3 years.
Build a recreational center and develop community youth programs. Court more businesses to Manor that provide activities such as sports complexes, a movie theater, or a skating rink. We need more third spaces.
I believe that we need to start focusing more on density instead of the suburban sprawl. Change zoning that focuses more on mixed use development. Create more walkable communities where people can live and shop in the same space while also incorporating green spaces.
I am against data centers. There have already been too many instances of these large corporations cutting corners and taking the cheap route at the expense of the local communities. They drain the area of resources, while bringing down property values and driving up costs for the citizens. In many cases, they are given tax subsidies and taxes are raised on the community to pick up the slack.

Ensuring that our police department is well equipped, both with staffing & resources, to cover the city as we continue to expand. Investing in community based programs and building relationships is vital for the department.
Strengthening relationship to work closely with TxDot to alleviate the areas that have become traffic headaches for over 60k drivers, a day. Maybe discussing flyovers that drop off further then the city limit sign to ensure future growth would remain unaffected. We need to support the Mayor in his role on the Highway290 taskforce to help bring a traffic solution to our problem area.
Although construction of data centers would bring jobs into the area, the actual center itself does not employee enough people to make a significant difference in our community. Manor does not have a nearby water source to feed the center , without disrupting service to our residents, to validate the building of one in our area.
