City Council MemberTogether with the mayor, Council members adopt the city budget, set the property tax rate, pass local laws, and make decisions about city services and policies. Some localities may use the term Alderman/Alderwoman and term lengths are based on the local or city ordinance.
Lifelong resident & Army veteran. UT Austin alumni with BBA. Former Manor Councilman, Manor ISD Trustee, & coach. Current American Legion Post 331 Commander, MEF board member & Manor Chamber member.
Increase police force to align with population growth. Organize a neighborhood watch program. Develop a street crime unit to work at key locations. Post MPD vehicles at key roadway intersections during peak traffic times. Assist Manor ISD in supporting after-school activities to keep young people off the streets. Improve lighting in parks and neighborhoods. Clean bushes and trees to open areas.
Work with county and state officials to create more roads and improvements. Expand roads to connect the subdivisions along HWY 290 & FY973. Widen major streets to accommodate more traffic. Recalibrate traffic lights for better ease of traffic. Consider allowing driving on shoulders during peak traffic. Repair city roads as needed. Provide more public transportation to reduce traffic.
I am opposed to data centers in the vicinity of Manor. Problems include data center's high electricity and water usage which will ultimately increase the residents' cost for these utilities, noise and air pollution for the nearby residents, and more traffic congestion. There would be an increase of jobs during the construction of data centers but there will be few permanent jobs afterwards.
'I'm qualified because I've shown my commitment by service, listening to residents and working to address their concerns. I have advocated for Improvement to our roads and infrastructure.
I will support strong communication and partnerships between residents, law enforcement, first responders, schools, and community organizations so we can identify problems early and respond effectively. I will advocate for adequate public-safety resources, better lighting and infrastructure in areas where safety is a concern, and community programs that help prevent crime before it happens.
I will Advocate for road improvements, better traffic-flow planning, sidewalks, and connectivity between neighborhoods. I will support a healthy mix of housing options while encouraging responsible development that fits the character and needs of our community. We need housing that is attainable for working families, seniors, and young people—not simply more housing.
I would support policies that:
Protect our water supply, require infrastructure impact studies, establish responsible water-use standards. I am not against economic growth, but growth must be responsible, require transparency and accountability. Manor's water, infrastructure, and quality of life are resources we have to protect for current residents and future generations.
