I have called Round Rock home since 2000 and have served our schools and community for nearly two decades decades—from volunteering and mentoring students to PTA leadership and serving on the CBC
Majority of teacher retention crisis is due to lack of funding. I am committed to explore ways we can continue to provide salary increases for our educators. I will also partner with the community to advocate for public school funding at the next legislative session.
I would work with the administration to identify opportunies where we attract students to our district. This will generate funds through student allotment and increase campus enrollment. As a Business Intelligence professional, I will leverage data to guide difficult conversations and develop innovative funding solutions that support student programs.
1) Elevate the least of our students 2) Continue to challenge the most of our students 3) Analyze discipline data to identify the root causes affecting Black, Brown and ubderserved students.
Really take a look at how the district attracts students back in to our campuses since this is the best way to generate funds. Evaluate each department’s needs to distinguish between what is essential, what is beneficial but not critical, and what may no longer be necessary.
I hold degrees in Education and Quality Systems Management, served 29 years in military leadership, taught as an RRISD substitute, and bring extensive business leadership experience.
I would prioritize competitive compensation, strong classroom support, manageable workloads, professional development, and a culture that values teachers. We must reduce unnecessary administrative burdens, recognize excellence, provide clear career pathways, and give educators the tools and support they need to succeed.
I would use enrollment trends, facility condition, capacity, and financial data to guide decisions. Before closing or building schools, I would evaluate all options, engage affected communities, protect classroom resources, and ensure decisions support long-term district needs.
My priorities are strong academics, safe and disciplined classrooms, excellent teachers, and early intervention for struggling students. I would use measurable outcomes to improve literacy, math, college and career readiness, and ensure resources directly support student success.
I would protect classroom instruction first, prioritize spending based on student outcomes, reduce administrative inefficiencies, review contracts and programs for measurable value, and responsibly manage staffing and facilities to align with enrollment and available revenue.
