My training in qualitative and quantitative research was thorough. I worked for 10 years making complex info more accessible to others. I can ask key questions to ensure we make the best decisions.
Teachers will be most effective when they don't have to worry that their school could be closed in the near future. Additionally, I have supported and would continue to support teacher pay raises and other accommodations (such as schedule improvements) that allow teachers to focus on teaching.
I would not close schools; if student populations are imbalanced, I would consider rezoning. Per NCES, the average number of students at a public US elementary school is 439 students, which is consistent with the smaller schools in LISD. (Source: https://nces.ed.gov/ccd/tables/202324_summary_4.asp) LISD is also consistent with the average number of elementary schools for its student population.
I want to ensure that class room sizes do not rise substantially. I want to ensure that neighborhood schools stay open, so that students have access to nearby schools without learning disruptions. Lastly, I would maintain and promote critical programs, such as early college high school coursework, gifted and dual language programs, special needs programming, and accelerated coursework.
As a lifelong Independent, I am not bound by political alliances. If elected, I would continue to contact state leaders about the budgeting gap in Leander ISD. Citing hard facts, such as the per-student funding in LISD versus the per-student funding for charter schools in the same region, I would press state government for funding in an official capacity as a school board member.

Teachers are the Pillars of LISD! Let's offer guaranteed annual raises and incentives for Personnel to meet or exceed the national average and the cost-of-living in the Greater Austin Area. Also, TRS advocacy for Teachers, and for Retired Teachers so that they may return to our Texas Classrooms more frequently. LISD will provide appropriate pay and working conditions for Auxiliary Staff as well.
We must Reduce the Budget and Provide Tax Relief to LISD Families. Like my family of 5, many move to LISD for the Academics, Sports, and STEAM. Families should never be threatened with their schools closing. Volunteer Subject Matter Experts are at the ready to eliminate the Fraud, Waste and Abuse in LISD. NO more Millions of Dollars unwisely spent. LISD will be Transparent & Fiscally Responsible.
•Academic Excellence: Students First! Proficient Readers & Writers, STEAM, Establish LISD Orchestra Program, Quality Instructional Materials, Curriculum aligned with Texas Essential Knowledge & Skills (TEKS)•Educator Code of Ethics: Personnel will honor 19 TAC 247, Appraisals maintained by suspense dates, Reports officially submitted to TEAOIG & SBEC as required•Parental Rights: Our Partners in ED
We cannot continue throwing money at LISD problems, we pay exorbitant taxes. Trustees must be good stewards of those funds. LISD runs smoothly when the Superintendent and Administration perform under TX Education Code, Policies and Procedures. Trustees ensure under a balanced budget, Admin execute high standards of instruction, a guaranteed and viable curriculum and safety across all 49 Campuses.

I am an LISD mom and volunteer in LISD schools and district committee. I am a Technology Leader with a Master’s degree and 20+ years of collaboration and complex problem-solving.
To retain premier talent, I will champion creative partnerships to address local affordability, ensuring teachers can live in the community they serve. We must also elevate classroom support, evaluate other retention options, reduce administrative burden, and cultivate a culture of deep professional respect for their expertise.
I will advocate for a student-centered approach to long-term facility planning using demographic projections, facility utilization, maintenance, and financial impacts. This includes flexible creative multi-use of space for preparing students for the future workforce. Boundary decisions will rely on objective data and transparent, two-way dialogue across all neighborhoods.
I will expand diverse pathways—from advanced STEM and arts to skilled trades—to help fulfill each student’s unique potential. We must support the whole child by prioritizing mental well-being, funding early reading interventions, and protecting SPED and multilingual services so that absolutely no student is left behind.
Taxpayers trust us with their hard-earned dollars. I will implement rigorous program evaluations to optimize spending, keeping resources in the classroom. We must aggressively advocate for state funding to provide relief from unfunded mandates and ensure transparent, strategic financial stewardship our communities can trust.
