My preparation for serving on the Williamson Central Appraisal District Board comes from more than 25 years in real estate, extensive professional education, and a lifelong connection to WilCo.
The WCAD Board does not set your property tax rate, and I do not determine the appraised value of your home. My responsibility is oversight of the appraisal district—its budget, leadership, policies, contracts and accountability.
Within that role, I’ve worked to control spending, return unused funds, strengthen financial oversight and improve board governance.
Look for people who know their job, have integrity, and treat taxpayers with respect. I’d want to hear how they’ve handled real challenges. For the Chief Appraiser, I want someone with the required credentials, a strong understanding of Texas property tax law & experience leading an appraisal district. For the Taxpayer Liaison Officer, someone who is patient, approachable, and a good listener.
For the past four years, I’ve served on the Williamson Central Appraisal District Board of Directors. That experience has given me a firsthand understanding of the board’s responsibilities and the importance of asking questions, reviewing spending carefully, and listening to property owners. During my service, I’ve supported independent financial oversight and responsible budgeting.
My experience comes primarily from more than 25 years in residential real estate as an agent, mortgage broker, and co-founder of a real estate and brokerage firm. Throughout my career, I’ve reviewed comparable sales, prepared market analyses, and helped clients understand how a property’s location, condition, size, and features influence its market value.
I, with my wife, have owned several businesses and properties in Williamson county and the state of Texas. I have served several non-profits in and around Liberty Hill over the same course
To be fair and consistent.
Someone who is not looking to extract as much money as they can from Williamson County tax payers. The process should be fair, it should not be combative, or stacked against the tax payer.
Liberty Hill School Board. I served as a Member, Vice President, and President.
The experience I have is from protesting my residential, Ag, and commercial properties in Williamson County for over 10 years. I found the process to be stacked against the tax payer, and quite frankly Un-Texan.
