I've worked in management with a handful of different rolls and responsibilities. I have and love my kiddos just as much as I love this town I was blessed to grow up in. I'd love to play a part in making sure we continue to put these kids first. They're the future and legacy of us all.

Candidate Information Ravenna High School graduate, B.A in Business Administration Michigan State University, studied at Cooley Law School and MSU School of Journalism. Served in the U.S. Army as an Infantry 1st lieutenant in Viet Nam and in the Old Guard ceremonial unit in Washington D.C. Active in Chamber of Commerce, Sports Hall of Fame committee, Ravenna American Legion. Served on the board of education over 30 years. Publisher of the Ravenna Independent weekly newspaper 50 years

I have served over 30 years on the board of education, several as an officer, including president. We have dealt with a wide variety of policy questions. I am very involved in community and church activities as well as publisher of the local newspaper. I think I have a good feel for the pulse of our community and the values they want our school to instill in our students.
Dropping enrollment is a challenge. I think the best way to meet it is to create the best school environment possible to make the district a destination for families. Academic achievement is always a challenge that is constantly changing. We must try to keep on the cutting edge of educational methods that encourage and nurture our students.
I am actively involved in the Chamber of Commerce, American Legion Post, Ravenna Baptist Church, the Community Educational Foundation, Sports Hall of Fame committee and my wife and I publish the local weekly newspaper (50 years now).
