Clark County Public Administrator

The Clark County Public Administrator is responsible for managing the estates of deceased individuals who have no will and no qualified person available to serve as executor. This office locates heirs, secures and inventories property, pays debts and taxes, and ensures that remaining assets are distributed according to Nevada law. The Public Administrator also safeguards personal property and works to prevent fraud or misuse during the probate process. Because this office handles sensitive financial and legal matters at vulnerable moments for families, it plays an important role in protecting property rights, ensuring lawful administration of estates, and maintaining public confidence in the probate system.

My career has always been rooted in stepping in when people are at their most vulnerable and serving with integrity, compassion, and accountability. As a Nevada Deputy Attorney General, former Assistant District Attorney, and former civil litigation attorney, I have spent my career protecting people, enforcing accountability, managing complex legal matters, and making careful decisions under the law.

I would bring that same legal experience, judgment, attention to detail, and sense of responsibility to every estate, ensuring assets are protected, records are accurate, Nevada law is followed, and families are treated with dignity and respect.
Timely administration and careful stewardship should go hand in hand. I would establish clear procedures and accountability so estates move forward efficiently, while never sacrificing accuracy, due process, or the rights of heirs and creditors. That means promptly securing assets, identifying and communicating with heirs, addressing valid creditor claims, maintaining accurate inventories and accountings, and ensuring court requirements are met.

Families deserve an office that is organized, transparent, and responsive, but they also deserve the confidence that every estate is handled carefully, lawfully, and with dignity. As the only attorney in this race, that is exactly what I will deliver.

With more than four decades of experience in public safety, I understand the importance of ensuring policies, procedures and laws are followed with consistency and integrity. Strong leadership requires more than giving direction; it requires setting a clear standard through both words and actions.
Time management and operational efficiency are critical to moving the office forward. This includes placing the right people in the right roles, empowering staff to work effectively across every area of the Public Administrators Office and building a culture of accountability and collaboration. Implementing change will require a focused and coordinated effort, supported by the full practical use of technology. By listening to staff and stakeholders, we can streamline processes and improve service delivery.
