Clark County District Court Judge Eighth Judicial District Department 31

District Court Judges preside over major civil and criminal cases, including felony prosecutions, large civil disputes, family law matters, and constitutional challenges. These judges interpret and apply Nevada law, make decisions about sentencing, rule on the admissibility of evidence, and ensure that court proceedings follow due process. Because District Court judges shape how laws are enforced and how individual rights are protected, their decisions directly affect public safety, civil liberties, and access to justice. Although judicial races often receive less attention than other offices, these positions play a critical role in upholding the rule of law, ensuring fairness in the legal system, and maintaining public confidence in an independent judiciary.Note: This is a nonpartisan race. The designation only applies to the race, and does not reflect the political affiliations of the candidates.

Campaign Endorsements Please see above plus I have the personal endorsements of many community leaders that can be found on my website, JudgeKishner.com
As a Nevada native who raised her family here, I am honored to be our community’s Judge in Department 31 for over 15 years. I utilize my knowledge, experience, and work ethic to ensure that Justice is served in every case. My docket includes complex litigation including Business matters and Construction Defect as well as general civil matters, and overflow criminal matters . I have overseen hundreds of trials and hearings including some of the largest cases in Nevada. I conduct settlement conferences, review search warrants and mentor others. I also serve our community as a member of the Access to Justice Commission, a member of Legal Aid of Southern Nevada's Pro Bono Advisory Committee and as a Trustee of the Law Library.
Judges must have a strong work ethic, a desire to give back to the community, be fair and impartial and not legislate from the bench. My role requires me to review all the facts and law before me, research issues, listen to the parties, treat everyone with respect and be efficient and effective. My decisions are timely, well- reasoned, and based on the law, rules, and the facts without regard to whether they are politically popular.

By following the rule of law in a fair and equitable manner I ensure that justice is served. I am honored that my dedication to ensuring justice has earned me the endorsements of not only numerous legal professionals but also over 40 broad based community groups and leaders .

In addition to the responses above, I believe that my work on the Access to Justice Commission, Legal Aid of Southern Nevada's Pro Bono Advisory Committee, as a Trustee of the Law Library and my extensive community service not only ensure that everyone has access to our courtrooms but also also increases public confidence in the courts. By increasing access to justice, encouraging attorneys and others to assist those in need, and explaining the judicial process, individuals are given a voice which increases public confidence and helps ensure fairness. The way I fully research each case regardless of how well the briefs are written, listen to each party, and explain my rulings ensures that everyone is treated fairly and impartially.
