Clark County Treasurer

The Clark County Treasurer is responsible for collecting and distributing property tax revenue and managing the county’s banking and investment functions. This office oversees the receipt of real property taxes, distributes funds to schools and other local government entities, and administers delinquent tax processes in accordance with Nevada law. Because property tax revenue funds essential public services — including education, public safety, and infrastructure — the Treasurer plays a critical role in ensuring accurate collection, responsible financial management, and timely distribution of public funds. These races are important in promoting fiscal accountability, transparency, and sound stewardship of county resources.

Transparency by auditing Clark County Government for Fraud, Abuse and Waste and post all finding on the Treasurers website.

Clark County Treasurer J. Ken Diaz has a transparency problem. The treasurer should be at work. Taxpayers should not have to guess whether the person managing their money is in the office. Outdated accounting software still crashes, slows down, and needs patches just to function. Delaying a real upgrade costs residents millions and creates delays. I will not kick that can down the road. The office should not be padded with extra staff, and it should never hire relatives of managers just because someone asked.
After implementing AI to handle some of the accounting duties. This will free up more staff to be available to handle phone calls and also communicate via text, email and other popular phone apps. Working closing with Non Profits Organizations, and other agencies to provides information on possible programs to assist people that or late or behind in thier property taxes.
