I bring more than 25 years of engineering and energy-industry experience, involving complex decision-making, budgeting, problem-solving, identifying and closing performance gaps, and monitoring continuous improvement through measurable KPIs. As a longtime real estate professional, FBISD resident, taxpayer, and parent, I understand the needs of families and our community. My approach to governance is based on facts, transparency, fiscal responsibility, accountability, and measurable results.
I am the parent of two children who attended FBISD from K through 12th grade and graduated from the district. I actively participated in school activities, board meetings and have supported educators on important issues, including advocating salary increases and COLA benefits for retired employees.
I will use a common sense approach to prioritize funding for teachers, classroom instruction, student achievement, and essential academic programs. I will support measurable goals and scorecards to make sure spending produces results. I will focus on reducing unnecessary expenses, maintaining adequate reserves, and using long-term financial planning. Above all, I will promote transparency, accountability, and responsible use of taxpayer dollars while protecting educational quality.
I believe the biggest challenge is restoring FBISD’s overall academic performance. I wiIl benchmark the 2026 Accountability stats as baseline, will work to bring FBISD closer to higher-performing peer districts, providing targeted support for lower-performing campuses, recruiting and retaining excellent teachers with competitive compensation, and track progress. I would also support responsible long term financial planning and explore educational and community-focused opportunities to repurpose closed school campuses so they can continue serving and benefiting our communities.

3. Excellent Teachers - Recruit and retain quality teachers with competitive compensation and support.
4. Safe Schools - Maintain safe, disciplined, and supportive learning environments.
5. Opportunity for Every Student - Provide strong programs and educational opportunities across all FBISD campuses.
I am a current classroom teacher familiar with the needs and challenges of students like ours. I also have a background in law and am familiar with navigating challenging legal processes that will face the board.
I have a child in first grade in FBISD and have been involved with her education and community events.
We need to personally audit our spending on technology for effectiveness and child welfare, which should result in savings. We should also look into creative revenue sources that could provide additional resources without creating additional dangers to our students. I will pay close attention to methods employed at other districts and listen to ideas from the community. Our Community is full of great ideas and the board must listen to these ideas and examine them to see which are practical.
Aside from Budget issues, our biggest problem is that the community has lost trust in the district leadership. Parents are pulling their kids from the district for other educational options because they don't feel heard or cared about. The board needs to become more accessible and responsive, and I intend to be both to the greatest extent possible and allowed by law. We can't please every parent and community member, but we can at least hear them and give them confidence that we're taking their positions into consideration.
Every student should graduate prepared to move to their next step in life and should be safe and nurtured throughout the process. The most important way to achieve this is to recruit and retain quality teachers. Nothing the board can do has a greater impact on student outcomes than the classroom teacher. We need manageable class sizes, competitive salaries, quality facilities, flexible curriculum, and sufficient supplies to make FBISD a district that teachers are competing to work for.
My 35 years of experience as an educator, combined with two term of service on the school board, have provided me with a strong foundation for making thoughtful and informed decisions regarding school district policies and governance.
Throughout my career in education, I have gained firsthand knowledge of the needs of students, teachers, families, and school communities. This experience has taught me the importance of student achievement, effective teaching and accountability for all.
35 years as a public school educator with 30 years working in Fort Bend ISD.
Managing a school district’s budget requires a careful balance between fiscal responsibility and the district’s primary mission: providing a high-quality education for every student. With 35 years of experience as an educator and two terms serving on the school board, I understand that every budget decision has a direct impact on students, teachers, staff, families, and the community. My approach is to make informed, transparent, and responsible decisions that protect educational quality while maintaining the district’s long-term financial stability.
I believe one of the biggest challenges facing our school district right now is maintaining and improving educational quality while facing increasing financial pressures, changing student needs, and the need to attract and retain highly qualified educators and staff. These challenges are interconnected. When resources are limited, we must make difficult choices about how to best support students while ensuring that our district remains financially responsible and competitive.
I believe every student deserves the opportunity to graduate prepared for the next stage of life, whether that means college, career, military service, technical training, or entering the workforce.
1. Improve academic achievement and ensure students are prepared for their next step. Every student should leave each grade with the knowledge and skills necessary to be successful in the next one. I would support strong instruction in reading.
2. Recruit, retain, and support excellent teachers and staff.
Quality education begins with excellent educators. We must ensure we hire the best.
