NonpartisanThree members of the Central Appraisal District (CAD) are elected at-large. Duties and authority are prescribed by the Texas Property Tax Code and include: hire the Chief Appraiser and appoint the Taxpayer Liaison Officer; approve the CAD budget; approve contracts; and set general policies.
