Curtis Public Library Millage ProposalShall Portage Township, Mackinac County, Michigan, be authorized to levy a new additional millage annually in an amount not to exceed .50 mill ($0.50 per each $1,000 taxable value) against all taxable property in the Township for a period of four (4) years, 2027 through 2030, inclusive, to provide funds for operating, maintaining, and equipping the Curtis Public Library (Portage Township) and for all the other library purposes authorized by law? The estimate of the revenue of the Township will collect if the millage is approved and levied in the first year of levy (2027) is approximately $50,000. The revenue from this millage levy will be disbursed to the Curtis Public Library.
