Fire and Ambulance Major Equipment Millage Renewal ProposalShall the previously authorized increase in tax limitation on all taxable property in Garfield Township, Mackinac County, that expired in 2025 be renewed and the Township be authorized to levy annually an amount not to exceed 0.5 mill ($0.50 per each $1,000 of taxable value) against all taxable property in the Township for a period of five (5) years, 2026 through 2030, inclusive, for the purpose of operating, equipping, providing personnel, and purchasing for major equipment replacement for the fire department and ambulance service? The estimate of the revenue the Township will collect in the first year (2026) fi the millage is approved and levied by the Township is approximately $58,798.00.
