Fire Protection Services Millage RenewalShall the previously voted increase in the tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Section 6 of the Michigan Constitution in Marshall Township that is set to expire on December 31, 2026, of 1.5 mills ($1.50 per $1,000 of taxable value), reduced to 1.4514 mills ($1.4514 of per $1,000 of taxable value) by the required millage roll backs, be renewed at and increased up to the original voted 1.5 mills ($1.50 per $1,000 of taxable value) for 2027 through 2036, inclusive, for the purpose of acquiring new fire trucks, firefighting equipment, capital improvements and operation expenses of the Marshall Township Fire Department, thereby raising in the first year the millage is levied an estimated $ 394,841.
