Millage to Fund Fire Protection ServicesShall the Township of Fredonia impose an increase of up to one-half (.5) mills ($0.50 per $1,000 of taxable value) in the Township tax levy limitation imposed under Article IX, Section 6 of the Michigan Constitution and levy it for two (2) years inclusive, 2026 – 2027, for fire protection services, including, but not limited to, maintenance and operation of the Fredonia Township Fire Department and the purchase and housing of fire apparatus and equipment, which one-half (.5) mills increase will raise an estimated $50,866.00 in the first year the millage is levied?
