Recycling, Composting and Hazardous Waste Millage Renewal Proposal
Shall the County of Delta, Michigan, be authorized to levy annually an amount not to exceed .2970 mill ($0.2970 per each $1,000 of taxable value), which is a renewal of the millage rate that expired in 2025, against all taxable property within Delta County for a period of ten (10) years, 2026 through 2035, inclusive, for the purpose of funding the Delta Solid Waste Management Authority’s recycling, composting and household hazardous waste disposal programs at the Delta County Landfill? The estimate of the revenue Delta County will collect if the millage is approved and levied in the first year (2026) is approximately $475,000.
