Cheboygan County Commissioner District 5
The Cheboygan County Board of Commissioners is the governing body for the County of Cheboygan, exercising legislative and administrative functions. There are seven members on the Board, each elected on a partisan basis for four-year terms from districts that are approximately equal in population. Board leadership consisting of a chairperson and vice-chairperson are elected annually by the Board at the start of a new year. The primary functions of the Board of Commissioners include determination of type and level of County services, adoption of County budget, equalization of property values, legislative oversight services provided by Cheboygan County, appointment of various advisory boards and commissions, and county officials.
