Shall Presque Isle County levy .75 of one mill which is equal to 75 cents per $1000.00 of the taxable value on all real and personal property subject to taxation for a period of 6 (six) years, 2026 through 2032, inclusive, to be paid to the Presque Isle County Council on Aging for the purpose of planning, coordinating, evaluating and providing services to persons 60 years of age or older? This millage is a renewal of a previously authorized millage which expired in 2025. If fully levied in the first year the amount raised by the levy is estimated at $889,970.778 [using 2024 total taxable value].Note: If approved and levied, in accordance with State Law, a portion of the renewal from this millage collected on certain properties lying within established Downtown Development Districts will be captured by or disbursed to the Downtown Development Authorities of the Cities of Rogers City and Onaway for authorized purposes. The amount of such capture is estimated to be $ 3400 in the first year of the levy.
