LIBRARY MILLAGE PROPOSAL
Shall the County of Alcona, Michigan, be authorized to levy a millage annually in an amount not to exceed .75 mill ($0.75 per each $1,000 of taxable value), of which .4878 mill is a renewal of the previously authorized millage that expired in 2025 and .2622 mill is new additional millage, against all taxable property within Alcona County for a period of ten (10) years, 2026 through 2035, inclusive, for the purpose of providing funds for all library purposes authorized by law, including maintaining and operating the Alcona County Library? The estimate of the revenue Alcona County will collect if the millage is approved and levied in the first year (2026) is approximately $759,000. Funds from this millage will be distributed to the Alcona County Library Fund.
