Center School District No. 58 Question
Shall the Board of Education of Center School District No. 58 of Jackson County, Missouri issue its general obligation bonds in an amount up to $5,000,000 for the purpose of refinancing lease purchase obligations of the District previously issued to finance improvements and equipment?If this question is approved, the District’s debt service property tax levy is still estimated to decrease from $0.90 per $100 of assessed valuation of real and personal property to $0.73 per $100 of assessed valuation of real and personal property in connection with the increase to the District’s operating tax levy authorized at the April 7, 2026 election, in part because the District will abandon a portion of the $29,000,000 voter-approved bonding authority from the April 7, 2026 election equal to the amount issued for the purpose described above and any portion of the $5,000,000 described above not used for the purpose described above.
