County Coroner

The Teton County Coroner's Office investigates all sudden, violent, unexpected, and unattended deaths in the county, including accidents and natural causes. The office is responsible for establishing the decedent's identity, cause, and manner of death. The County Coroner is paid $50,000 per year, increasing to $72,500 in 2027. The Coroner does not receive employee benefits like other county employees.
