County Sheriff

The Teton County Sheriff is the chief law enforcement officer of our county, elected to a four-year term. The job consists of preserving the peace, managing the county jail, providing security for courts, and serving legal documents. The Sheriff is paid a salary of $145,000 per year, increasing to $153,700 in January 2027. Benefits for full-time Teton County employees include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, life insurance, and retirement through the Wyoming Retirement System.
