I am running for Clerk of District Court to continue providing trusted court clerk services to the District Court and Teton County. I have served in this role for the past 12 years and in various capacities in the Teton County justice system for 23 years. My passion for public service and our courts prompted me to complete a Master's in Public Administration from the University of Wyoming outreach program in 2010. I have a trusted track record of providing local and state leadership during COVID, statewide technology and court rule changes, hiring challenges, and our move to temporary courthouse quarters. I am invested in enhancing and evolving operations and services and maximizing technology in meaningful ways.
Be welcoming. Be respectful. Be helpful. We make ourselves available as possible for questions, records searches, and case information requests. We balance convenience and timely responses with thorough and careful reviews to ensure we properly protect confidentiality where applicable. We respond to any public inquiry without judgment or preference and with a narrow focus on if the information is public or if the patron has the authority to access confidential information. I also set high performance expectations for my staff regarding their professionalism with public information. We make ourselves available to groups for visits, trainings, and collaborations (examples: Teton County Bar, Leadership Jackson Hole, Access to Justice).

1. Continue to serve as a subject matter expert in statewide committees (including WY Judicial Branch and the WY state legislature committees) that review District Court case records management 2. Advocate for statewide records management evolution that balances public access with proper protections of litigant information 3. Continue to develop and support a well-trained, high-functioning staff dedicated to serving the court, partners, and the public.
