Three-fifths majority required.Ballot wording: Shall the Charter of the City of St. Louis be amended to modernize language describing City departments, divisions, or other organization, to provide for modern methods of advertisement and publication, to delete obsolete references to Missouri statute, to delete obsolete references to City departments, divisions, or other organizations, to remove obsolete references to pay scale, to replace pronouns with specific title references, and to standardize capitalization of titles and uniform formatting of numbers?Summary: The measure would make numerous changes in the city charter to modernize the names of departments, offices, officers, divisions and city organizations, to replace gendered pronouns and to allow advertising and publishing of required city notices in various ways, not just in print media. Supporters say the changes will make the charter more contemporary.
